November 18,2013 Do Now

This amazing quote by Mahatma Gandhi truly makes me want to change the world and make it a better place. Some of the things I would do to change this world is enforce less pollution and less convenience. What I mean by less convenience is people are too lazy to work out and try to do something for themselves, instead they rely on technology and other conveniences and soon enough the world will become obese. Therefore, one way I would make this world a better place is enforcing the idea of working hard for what you want, eating healthy, and exercising.

11/11 Do Now

The feeling I got when I had heard about what happened in the Philippines was just awful. The tsunami that hit the Philippines killed over 10,00 people which left me heartbroken and very nervous for the United States. I give much sympathy toward the Filipinos and their families. To help these people in devastation, pain, and loss, I believe that people in the United States could help by just donating foods and other items that many of them may need.

1. Wiki could be used for your current classes for students who are failing
• Teacher's could write a plan for the student and share the wiki with them in order to help out.
2. Wikis could be used for field trips
• Teachers could collaborate ideas together on one wiki.

Wiki is also useful for young adults who want to start on portfolios and college applications and organizing them. Also teachers who are looking to collaborate on other students and starting plans for them. Students who need to collaborate on projects and other issues could also use Wiki as well.

      If I could wear a cloak that could make me invisible for one day I would do good deeds that would help people out. The main thing I would do is help the people who are being bullied in the world. People who are being bullied usually do not speak up. I would definitely help out the person by getting back at the bully by pulling pranks on them as well.
      People who are being bullied all around will be helped by me because I understand what it feels like. Bullies will have to learn their lesson the hard way, only because being rude to people is not going to solve anything.

10.7 Do Now

      I think a class we should seriously have in this school is a fashion/sewing class. A fashion class would provide the teachings of color, design, and patterns. Students would also learn how to sew and make their own clothes, this is really for a student who wants to succeed in the fashion/sewing field. Students will be working with computers as well to design the clothing in order to sew and make it wearable.
      This class will be creative and basically free to do what they please in order to get their own creativity and style of what the student wants. The atmosphere will be as though the children are actually working in an office and will have assignments due consecutively every week. In this class I would make it relatable to real life, in order for children/young adults to decide what they want to do with their lives when they go into college or the career fields.

Miss. Garvin

    

      This year I will be taking US History II with Miss. Garvin who enjoys talking, learning and discussing History. In Miss. Garvins class we have our debates and own opinions on what we are learning during class. Miss. Garvin makes learning fun and easy for the class to comprehend. Miss. Garvin also has many trips planned for us later on during the year that links in with what we are learning in US History II. Some of the things we are learning about that will tie in with our field trips will be Woodstock which will be fun for me considering I do like learning about Woodstock and other things that relate to it.  

      In US History II we will be learning about the history of the United States on another level and a little more in depth than US History II.  It will also be dealing with Woodstock as I mentioned before, Woodstock has to do with 3 days of just Peace and Music, personally, I love music so learning about Woodstock will be very interesting.

September 11th

September 11th was an awful day for everybody in our country.  Even though I was very young when this happened, it still means a great deal to me and my family. I give respect to every single life that was taken away that day, to me that is a sense of respect and loyalty to this country.  As a child, I felt the pain for my family and friends who lost somebody and this day will never be forgotten and will be in our hearts forever.  

hiiiiii, I am Bria Basile I live in Wood-Ridge, im 16 years old and currently attending Wood-Ridge High School.  I am a cheerleader, i love to write, run, and also do track.
